Some of the members of the Second Dáil are the same people in the First Dáil. I will not, therefore, repeat them.
Edward Aylward (1894 – February 1976) was an Irish Sinn Féin politician. He was elected unopposed as a Sinn Féin Teachta Dála (TD) to the 2nd Dáil at the 1921 elections for the Carlow–Kilkenny constituency. He opposed the Anglo-Irish Treaty and voted against it. He stood as an anti-Treaty Sinn Féin candidate at the 1922 general election but was not elected.
Dear Mr. Karr
ReplyDeleteWhile you have the right name associated with the photo above I write to inform you that you have made a mistake. The picture is of my parents wedding in 1945. At the time of the 1st Dail my father, Edward Aylward was six years old. Please remove the photo to avoid confusion.
With every good wish
Eamon Aylward
