Members of the Third Dáil - Patrick Gaffney
Patrick Gaffney (died 1943) was an Irish Farmers' Party politician. A flour miller before entering politics, he was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Farmers' Party Teachta Dála (TD) for Carlow–Kilkenny at the 1922 general election. He resigned after 3 months because he refused to take the Oath of Allegiance. He stood as an independent candidate at the 1923 general election but was not elected. He is the one of the shortest serving TDs of all time.
